That one's easy because I'm 5'11". I was 'only' 215 (and type II diabetic) when I started my diet. Since you obviously need to lose weight (you should be around 175), I would start you on a 1500 to 1600 calorie per day diet consisting of mostly raw vegetables and some fruits. (Don't say yuck... say I love salads). Keep the carbs, sugars, and fats down. Drink lots of pure water. Exercise moderately for 30 minutes per day. Read this webpage I put together so you can stay with it...

When you get down to a reasonably healthy weight, you can raise your calorie input to 1800 to 2200 depending on your activity level. It will take several months to get to your target weight, so be patient, you don't want to starve yourself or get malnutrition. Oh yeah, don't drink alcohol... it's loaded with calories. since your too short for your weight or too heavy for your height or maybe your a weight lifter AKA body builder. but i cant tell you if i dnt know if you pump iron.however your overweight and you need less of all foods.less fats and calories to start and a program of walking and other types of low impact exercise to increase a healthy heart.now if you are building muscle mass and your bmi is 7 or less your doing fine but watch fat intake if you lift everyday working on different muscle groups every other day you burn many calories each time you lift.however if your not exercising eat less of all food groups and about 1800 cal aday should help you lose weight. good luck to you.if you have any questions just ask.

for most active men its 2000 calories but since you are over weight try to limit yourself to 1500 for a while and cut out all carbs if you can, if you cant use whole grain . cutting out carbs for even a couple of weeks will give your diet a real head start.. good luck
