No,he is not Muslim...His name "Marat" is Muslim,but he is not practicing Islam...

He is kind of like the Johnny Mac of our day. They both brought excitement to the court. Sometimes with their amazing playing, but most of the time with their loveable on-court antics :P I sometimes find tennis hard to watch for long periods of time because there's no excitement. In basketball or football, they sometimes argue against fouls but in tennis, it's pretty straight forward so there's no real arguing. I will definitely miss Marat. I hope we'll see another player like him or Johnny Mac.
