I want to upgrade my laptop ram?

I have a dell laptop and i want to upgrade the ram is it possible to put 1 GB Ram with a 512 or 256 together and how do you put it them on

You can put those together, as long as they do not exceed the mobo capacities and you have enough SODIMM slots to support the configuration. Match memory speeds etc. on Crucial .com then buy Kingston or Corsair memory.
