Did you like that show? We have Tivo and my Dad watches it all day. I'm 17, but I kind of like it, but I don't watch it a lot because I don't like Jethro, he's such a dick!

Yes, but it was rather silly. I'm sure that show couldn't air now because of the "negative stereotypes," so enjoy it as long as you can.

I agree Jethro is that stereotypical country hick that no doubt has some inbreeding mutations. He is so mean to his cousin Ellie Mae and never listens to Granny. He's just a lazy bum that has let money change/ruin his life.
Ellie Mae Clampett is a cutie and Granny is a hoot with those big clodhoppers (boots) and her broom or cast iron skillet.
Jed is the father figure and calming influence on the whole gang.
It's a shame all of those money leeches try to swindle and cheat themselves into the Clampett fortune.
I love that show but I only get to see it on occasion when I visit my sister as she has all the cable channels.
Is it on Nickelodeon channel?

My Gramma was from the Kentucky Hills, and she hated this show. My mother grew old and reminded me of Granny Clampett. I didn't hate Jethro. He was dumb as a stump (for a cyphering gradgeeate of the sixth grade.) I still watch sometimes, for a joke.

Jethro is a dick i fully agree. Im 21 so i remember the show. My hubby brought the dvd set he loves it too. I love it, its just so funny and stupid too I love how they didnt know that they had oil, way back in the 1st show and how they got rich and moved and the neighbourhood had no idea what they were in for. hahaha

great show! I think it's funny that such an "old" show still manages to entertain people of all ages. You'll like it if you give it a chance.

It is a good show. Pretty funny for it's time. Jethro is so stupid and he thinks he is so smart, that it cannot help being funny.
Better than watching BETV or MTV, and that's a fact!
