I started by doing a yahoo yellow pages search for Vallejo, California for Dance Schools, and came up with these five listings. Even if these are stores that sell dancewear, they should have information about dance studios for you.
Keep reading after the list, I have more ideas.
Dance Shop (707) 554-4403
145 Valle Vista Ave # H Vallejo, CA
Dance Unlimited (707) 644-2205
510 Georgia St Vallejo, CA
North Bay Athletic Assn (707) 643-9622
415 Mississippi St Vallejo, CA
Regal (707) 552-7177
406 Georgia St Vallejo, CA
Vallejo Ballet Co (707) 643-2623
441 Tuolumne St Vallejo, CA
Now I don't live in California, but I teach a free dance class in the public library where I do live, so you should check your public libraries and city and county parks and recreation departments for dance classes as well. They may have dance classes that are nearby and affordable -- more affordable than private studios, and perhaps just as much fun.
When you are old enough, don't forget that community colleges and universities have dance departments and they teach dance, too!
Melanie, I want to congratulate you on writing a fairly complete and well formed question. Although you didn't tell us what kind of dancing you want to learn, you did tell us where, and yes, at eleven years old you're going to need it to be very nearby or you're going to need parents help getting there, or both!
If you go to the link below and set it for your area, then put in dance school, you'll get a long list of sponsors and then the five answers I gave above. The sponsors aren't all in Vallejo. I don't know which communities are near enough to Vallejo to be useful, but the other towns in the sponsored responses were: Fairfield, Vacaville, Napa, and Benecia.
Good Luck!

I have a studio in Petaluma and I work in Vallejo. I think Petaluma is a little far for you to drive. You should try Dance Unlimited. Here is the website:
http://www.danceunlimited.ws/home.html
PS - It doesn't matter that you are tall for your age!

Use this website to find a studio near you:
http://www.ballroomdancers.com
This is mostly ballroom website, but many studios teach variety of styles. Call them.
Also use google. This is your best resource that I can think of.
Vallejo might not have what you're looking for. You might have to ask your parents to drive you to lessons.
