All the other answers are correct. What no one said is that, besides being the longest and strongest bone in the body, Forensic science can determine the hight and weight of a person who has be dead for a long time and all that's left is the skeleton. They can tell if the person had diseases of the bone, even the wear and tear on the bone can also detemine age by viewing the ends of the femur.
