Someone told me Angela Davis was married to a man of European descent.Is this true? What is his name and can this be verified?

She was married to Hilton Braithwaite, a photographer but cannot say if he was European. I understand he was a chef from Oakland. They were married in 1980 but were divorced some years later.

The only marriage I can find for her is to Hilton Braithwaite, the black photographer in 1980 and divorced several years later.
