blah blah blah---you shouldn't have to hint? i don't agree. hints are merely are way to find out what's going on. and i think it is important to know if you are wasting your time or not--right? yeah yeah--a man will propose when he is ready--but i think it is just as important to hint--to let a man know YOU are ready. or just tell him. and if a man can't handle talk about the future--that should be a warning flag. especially if they talk about the future by using "i"...and not "we". i mean, you do want to make sure you are dating someone on the same path as you...right? however, that's providing you aren't scaring the crap out of him either.
but, to answer your questions--i think a lot depends on age. if you are under 25, don't push. men still have a lot of growing and so do you. and there is time. if you are closer to 30 or in your 30's...then i think after about 6 months--start dropping the hints. HOWEVER--in general i think unless you guys are really young---like barely out of college age---i think future talk--after about a year is ok. good luck.

This man, any man - that is if he's a caring man, should be aware of the situation regarding marriage. Men I have found don't want to get married. They just want what a wife who can give them without the marriage. Is that fair? Nooooo.
Make your boundaries with him, if you want marriage, then tell him. Don't p u s s y foot around. Otherwise, you could be a Ms all your life and he will be reaping the benefits of a wife without the commitment.

How long have you been together? Are you sure you are ready for such a big step in your relationship? Do you think he may be? I wouldn't hint anything--I would be out in the open about it....guys usually aren't too smart in the hint department...lol

Why do you have to hint? If you both are comfortable in your relationship, why can't you ask him to marry you? This is the 21st century ya know. He doesn't have to do the proposing.

Men usually don't get hints very easily. Just tell him and talk openly about it. Hints don't do any good...

It's according how long you've been together..A year or longer I'd ask how he feels about marriage and go from there ..less than a year I'd give it a little more time..Just don't get to pushy it might spook him..
