I have a piece of luggage (suitcase, 25-30kg) that I need to send from Melbourne to Darwin. Is there any easy and relatively inexpensive way to go about it? Perhaps Virgin Blue or Jetstar offers this kind of service where someone checks the luggage in Melbourne and I pick it up in Darwin? Furthermore, is there anyway the company of my choice picks up the luggage from a residential address in Melbourne (or am I asking for too much)?
Or, is it cheapest to use Australian Post or some other courier?
Thank you in advance!

the cheapest way its to take the luggage to Flinders Station and send the luggage to darwin by rail.
It takes more than a week to reach there, then someone have to pick it up in darwin Central railways station.
