My husband have a 1996 bravada and the alarm and kill switch will not allow him to change gear or start up the car. So we need to locate the switch to be able to drive the car. Anyone have any idea where it is?

You will find that the interrupter is in the security system.
If it is after-market, it has been adapted into the wiring system for the car's computer (PCM). You will need to locate either the manual that came with the system, or you will need to secure the services of an alarm installation company.
If it is a Factory unit, it is incorporated into the car's PCM by the manufacturer, and will require the services of either an Oldsmobile (or GM) dealer, or a REPUTABLE repair shop.
There isn't really a means of describing to you where to look for which wire. It would be akin to trying to verbally describe the taste of a banana to someone who has never experienced it.
Good Luck
