I Don't think so. Although Trunk bay is absolutely beautiful. There are alot of things to do. I went on a catamaran sail to Buck island and snorkeled through the reef there and it was a blast. It depends on how you feel that day. Forget the tram ride though YAWN... Dont waste your money.

St John is not bad but there is plenty to do in St Thomas.Only it isn't the safest place in the world, locals not being very friendly and Ive known a case of tourist attacks.

Since your time is limited, here's the St. John's ferry schedule. http://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/interisland_ferry/#St.%20John%20Passenger%20Ferry:%20%20Red%20Hook%20to%20Cruz%20Bay
Here's info on taxi tours of St. Johnhttp://www.stjohnusvi.com/gettin.html
Here's a listing for a St. Thomas Tour that picks you up at the boat and brings you back....so no taxi to find.

A lot depends on what you want to do. Have a great time!

If all you want to do is shop, stay in St. Thomas. If you want to go to beaches or hike trails, go to St. John. Here's an event calendar for October.
