With today's advances in medicine, can you cure male homosexuality or male bisexuality with hypnotherapy, so the man will only be sexually attracted to women?

With today's (the year 2006) advances in medicine, can you cure male homosexuality or male bisexuality with hypnotherapy, so the man will only be sexually attracted to women? After all, we can cure addiction to drugs, stealing, smoking, and so many other behaviours using hypnotherapy today. Are governments silent on this because they couldn't handle an army of thousands of men demanding this?

If youre suggesting is it possible to do brain washing on people to alter their chosen orientation and change how they think,and act --yes it is possible.

The answers from ecclesias or JonFugeEverybody, who seem to want to prove that their combined IQ is no greater than yours, show a lack of understanding not only of homosexuality but also with respect to the applied uses of hypnotherapy. Idiot's of the world unite I say!. Maybe you could get a 3-some going with each other and have some really interesting dialogue's, a far more interesting thought than this stupid question!.

Could you be cured of Heterosexuality?
There's a big misunderstanding about hypnosis and that is people can do "anything" while under it. This is wrong.
People are not so easily controlled. Hypnosis simply allows (much like Alcohol removes inhibitions) people to act without moral recriminations, that is, they DO WHAT ONLY THEY WANT TO DO. They do NOTHING that they find offensive, but only those actions that they find palatable. I have been hypnotized dozens of times by Psychologists and Psychiatrists for my problems (disorders) and I have NEVER not been aware of what was going on. Even in my deepest regressed state, "I" was there and could refuse an instruction at anytime.

Homosexuality cannot be cured by your snake oil -- nor should it be. Governments don't have a "cure," and at least in the West, I feel very safe saying that governments wouldn't be inundated or swamped with millions (there are millions of us you know) of men.
Why would I, or in fact, anyone really WANT to be attracted "only to women?" So that we can "fit" the pathetic world that you inhabit? Please no, I'd rather die.

The only "cure" that needs to happen here is to cure people of their fear of people who are different than themselves.
Really.....that's all that needs to happen.
Where has hypnotherapy cured anyone from somoking, drug or alcohol use? I'm an alcoholism counselor and have looked at the data. Boy are you way off, dude.

This is not a disease to be 'cured'. So what are you talking about. Is this method successful...not that I am aware of...you cannot change ones genes by messing with hypnosis..In fact, I cannot even quite smoking with hypnosis. And, I wonder why anyone would really want to change their sexuality. I am quite happy as I am. What would be the point? I wonder where you get your info from..what thousands of men want this therapy??? I think, perhaps, you are using some bad drugs...

Hypnotherapy is hardly an 'advance' in medicine as it has been practised for 100's of years.

that depends if you can cure heterosexuality...
Doesn't have to be a disease to be cured? I mean I'm no fan of gays, but I hate stupid people more.
If I were to take this seriously I would say that it should be left up to the fags who need "cured" If they want "cured" then they could try that and since hypnotherapy sometimes works on people who like smoking fags, it may work.

No. There's much more important things to be taken care of such as cancer and std's. Homosexuality isn't even a big deal and yes I answered this for 2 pts.

If I am not mistaken there is now scientific evidence suggesting that hormones are different inside homosexual people so even if maybe God meant them to fight those desires (and who really knows what God intended?) I think God made them that way. So maybe hormone therapy could change them but why should it be "cured"? Diversity is beautiful.
