Yes, if you believe in karma and reincarnation. The principle of karma states that whatever you do will come back to you . I have read, however, that those who dispense karma are in no great hurry to return it to you, so from this very broad perspective I can give you a couple of illustrations. Under hypnosis, my wife reported that she had been a Mayan queen in the Yucatan peninsula a long time ago (her name was Caputeech) and that I was her court astrologer. She exploited the people she was ruling ruthlessly and kept them povert -stricken. I was an altruist and for the people. One day she said she was standing on a balcony and I came up behind her and hit her over the head with something and killed her. Now I freed the people from her tryanny and exploitation. I was a hero and did the right thing - right? Wrong. As they say, 2 wrongs don't make a right. So in this lifetime, we got married and she almost killed me! Don't laugh. I won't go into the horrible details of what she did and how I suffered. But since I had this perspective that I am trying to give you now, I didn't relaliate. She did illegal things but I let them go. (I was finally getting smart, because if I had retaliated, than that action would have come back to me and I didn't want to suffer any more of that stuff) Another example: My wife (the same one as above) reported that I was a farmer in Wyoming in the 1800's and that she was my wife again. I came out to the barn one morning and found the hired hand making out with my 13 year old daughter, so I laid him out with one punch. Then my daughter and the hired hand ran away and she was gone for three years and my wife blamed me for that. Now in this lifetime, I was 16 years old and playing second base on our baseball team. I wasn't watching and the runner on first started to steal second. the first basemen threw the ball (a hard ball) to me and I turned my head just in time to get hit in the head. I was knocked unconscious. This is the way that I think karma works.
I think this is why Jesus said to 'Turn the other cheek' because he knew all about karma. But when I was young and stupid, I couldn't imagine turning the other cheek. If somebody hit me, then dammit I was going to hit him back! I have tried to be 'nice' and understanding to people who hurt me, physically or mentally, but it is very hard work. I once had a dream in which someone said to be "Love is the answer to everything.' Well, these things happend to me when I was young and stupid. ( Now I am old and stupid.) If you don't learn how to laugh at life, it's not funny.. I think it was the Chinese who said, 'If you seek revenge, dig two graves.'

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
People who are cruel and mean have been treated that way before . They were brought up in that environment that they seen all these things and never been taught and have no chance to learn how to be kind and considerate.
Sub-consciencely , as they grow up they behaved like what they have been treated. I will only pray that someone will cross their life path and show them what is love and kind . that this someone will have love big enough to love these unlikeable people.
Remember they are the victims , we do not want them to continue to victimise others. If they changed to be loveable people, they will pass on their love too, then more people will experience love and know how to show love to others too.

They do get what they deserve. Yes. Look at Hitler, in the end he ate poison and shot himself. Look at Saddam Husein, he fights to not be hung and he said he would rather be shot in front of a firing squad, this is to easy. He probally knows that this, hanging is a horrible death because he has done it to so many people. These are some fine examples.

In this world, no. The rich get richer, the abusers get off free. HOWEVER, in GOD's world, you reap what you sow, you account for EVERY word ever spoken. You stand before a judge who does not need witnesses to tell Him what you've done; he's seen it: every thought, every word, every action. You choose: judged by your actions or let Jesus advocate for you, declare you as one of His own and you go free. See why it's so important to know Jesus as savior?
You'll look for a long time but you won't find cases of what goes around comes around very often, that is until God shows up...then watch out! VICTORY!

Karma?
Yeah, it works....but it only works if the mean person actively participates in the social construct.
If they minimally participate, they have more luck on their side for never getting the equal reaction they are deserving.

Sounds like you're hoping for revenge against someone. No one "knows" if it's true or not. Just wishful thinking by some, here and there. God Bless you.

Yeah, very interesting phenomenon. Yuo do bad, you'll receive bad before you know it. It's happened to me. I try not to do bad as much anymore. It's like the orient Yin-Yang thing.
