i have a 50 cc scooter, not a moped. it is street legal and i use it a lot. there is only one problem, if you throtle down all the way, it sounds and feels like it is choking or stalling. you have to keep the throtle in the middle to keep it going fast. how do i fix this problem. it does not have a choke on it that i can access.

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. Mileage is also helpful.
2 strokes and 4 strokes will have different cures for similar symptoms. Different manufactures use a manual or automatic choke.

-Thanks for the additional info.
-After it's warmed up, it wouldn't matter if the choke worked or not.
-Check the air cleaner and air box intake. Clean them if necessary.
-Clean the carburator passageways and jets.
-Adjust the valves.
-Check the spark plug. Change if necessary.
-Check the drive belt and CVT clutch.
-It's hard to diagnose without the scooter in front of me.

It sounds like you need to set your idle speed up, and you also may need to adjust your mixture screw, or screws depending on your carburetor.
