Chicagoland would be considered your suburbs like Elmhurst, Oak Park, Evanston, and Orland Park. South Chicagoland would be like Orland Park, Tinley Park, maybe even East Chicago/Northwest Indiana.

UC and Hyde Park are south, but the borderlines of Chicago goes even further south of this area.
