At one point I could not stop coughing, no matter what. I was so tired I could not even open my eyes but still could not sleep because of the coughing I called a friend of mine (older woman) she told me to wrap a warm wash clothe around my neck, within less than 5 minutes I was a sleep. It sounds like the flu, just remember the old remedies that your mom gave you, soup, toast, hot tea and plenty of sleep. Hope you get feeling better.
ps becareful not to let it turn into walking pneumona, if you stop coughing so much and no flem produced when you do, listen for hollow coughs and pay attention to any rattling.

I would be best to go to an ear, nose and throat doctor, but if you can't do that now try an expectorate couch medicine. It must have the expectorant in it to work for that kind of cough. This might be an allergy. You can take aspirin for the headache. If it is an allergy, an antihistamine is good for that. Take to a pharmacy before taking either one for his advice. you can buy all these things over the counter without a prescription.

If your head hurts along with a cough, it could be a sinus infection or sinus headache developing into a cold I have had ichy (healing) ears, sore throat, cough and phlegm which I know is developing into broncitius. Good Luck!
