Hi
I had a miscarriage. I did the same as you, didn't wait like I was told, but unfortunately I wasn't pregnant. I actually didn't get my period back for 5 months. As much as I wanted to be pregnant I wasn't. I still did take a few tests in those 5 months, mainly for my own peace of mind. If you want to take the test, take it.....it won't hurt. Hope all goes well.

It wouldn't hurt to take the test, if it makes you feel better then it is worth it, I would be afraid to get my hopes up if I were you. You are stressed from the miscarriage and that could delay your period. When I miscarried, I was told to wait until I had three regular periods in a row before I was to try again. Every doctor tells their patients different. If you take the test and it is negative, then, I would wait until I miss another period and take another test. If that test is negative, I would call the doctor and have them write you an order for a blood pregnancy test along with HCG levels. Good luck! I have been where you are and you just worry that it could happen again. Just take it day by day and breathe and enjoy.

How far along you were when you miscarried would be a helpful tidbit of information....
I miscarried at 5 weeks and was told I could try again right away. I ovulated 16 days later.
Miscarriages that happen a little further in pregnancy require a little more recovery time for your body. Most likely your hormones and cycle are just regulating....but your chances of getting pregnant after miscarriage are just as good as any.
If you are pregnant, I do not think the 1/2 week is going to cause you any harm.
You could take a HPT.

First off... although many women have miscarriages then get pregnant again right away and have healthy babies.... I had a miscarriage then got pregnant 6 weeks later then went on to lose my 2nd baby at 17 weeks because my uterus wasnt strong enough for the baby... I would recommend at least waiting until you get a period or 2...even 3 before you start trying again... just to be safe. As to when you are going to be late.. etc after both of mine I had my period about a month after each loss..... I would think by now all the hcg would be out of your system and a pregnancy test would give an accurate result... I think your best bet is to talk to your Dr .

I would think it would just be from all the trauma that you have not had a period. I also would guess the doctor was telling you to wait 3 weeks for physical reasons- not because pregnancy was still a chance. If your body thought up until a month ago it was carrying a baby, then you would not have ovulated that quickly. Your body is probably in a period of adjustment.
** I am just guessing from logic and what I do know - I have never been pregnant.**

I don't think you can become pregnant after a miscarrage until your period regulates itself again. Since you haven't gotten your first period after the miscarrage, you haven't ovulated and therefore couldn't be pregnant. Just give your body time to heal and it will take care of itself.

Firstly, can I say that I'm sorry for your loss.
Your body has been through a lot & it takes time to get back to normal. I don't think you would be pregnant again already & it is too soon to take a test.
Only you will know when you are ready to try again & no-one can tell you when you should start trying.
Good luck :-)

Yes, you could definitely be pregnant. Take a urine test (home test). If it's positive, get a blood test and ultraound to make sure that you are really pregnant and it's not something left over from your miscarriage. (sometimes hormone levels take a little while to normalize). Good luck!

Wait another few days and then get a blood test. Your body may be healing and that may be the reason for no period. Good luck to you!
