I did....until my 34th birthday, when my parents told me the truth.
Ahh, I yearn for those lost days of innocence.

NO!!! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! The Spatula Fairy is a cruel myth devised by moms to intimidate their children into behaving. No child should be threatened with that stupid legend of the S.F. stealing all the maple syrup for their pancakes just because they refuse to eat brussel sprouts.
Now, had you asked me about certain concrete creatures whom ('tis rumoured, anyway) lurk about the lawn and appropriate the occasional unguarded Bacardi and Coke, that might have been a different story. . .
Signed,
Fred the Garden Gnome*
*(You know, the one sitting there on the #$%%^^ concrete potty reading the same #$%^^ concrete newspaper for all eternity. Sigh. . .sure could use a Bacardi and Coke right about now.)

Yeah. There is a black hole at work that all the spatulas disappear into. I guess she puts them there. I believe she is the half sister of the single-sock-in-the-dryer fairy.
