Yeah, I mean, it would be easier to believe if it was by a dinosaur attack, or something really big. Didn't know stingrays could kill, just like that. I've seen pictures of stingray attacks and they were like swelled arms and that kind of stuff. Guess it really hit him in the heart. Really weird. But hey, if Superman can be kill with a tiny green stone...

I'm sure that would not have been the way that he would have chosen to go out. I imagine he would have rather had a croc do it. I feel bad for his family. He had a really exciting life but I don't know how anyone could have children with the guy. I mean, he was kind of asking for it with all the dangerous stuff he's been doing. Interesting, though, that they say the sting ray barb hit straight to the heart is a one in a million thing. Very odd.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Yes it's hard to believe because normally sting rays dont kill you. It was just pure chance it put a hole in his heart. Sure he may seem stupid to some but he knew what he did. He took risks in his life but he knew what could happen.
RIP Steve Irwin
AKA Crocodile Hunter

Hes been bitten by all sorts of poision stuff, which normally would kill someone, but they had anti-dotes for all of that. He was more skilled with alligators because thats how he started out in the buisness so he could handle them safer.
