I feel so sorry for his family. His son will never know him. I wish there was something we could all do for his family. He always made me laugh when I watched the Crocodile Hunter. Made me think of Paul Hogan as Crocodile Dundee. May you rest in peace Steve Irwin.

I think he went exactly the way the Grizzley Man went: He treated dangerous animals like his playpals.
You could tell he was becoming complacent when he fed a crocodile while holding his baby, just like when Grizzley Man started petting the bears and talking baby talk to them.

Yes it is truly sad about Steve! He had a beautiful wife and a very beautiful daughter.I could not even imagine losing my husband. They are going to be going through some emotional times. All we can do is pray for them all and send our love and prayers may god be with them!

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

I think he's a man who made himself famous doing intentionally dangerous things; my respect for him was pretty decimated after his taking his baby child into a crocodile pen with him. That being said, I respect the fact that he was loved by many and wish his family the best in this very rough time.
