Did you have a period in August? Either way, a doctor's appointment this week is the way to go, and I wish you all the best.

It was possible that you were pregnant, you can get false negatives on HPT's. It may be a miscarriage, I can't remember the exact stats on it but there are more women who go through undiagnosed miscarriages than you would believe.I work on a gyn floor and have a large number of patients with this same problem.
hope it all works out for you

It sounds like your period came. I mean I hope that's what it was. Maybe you were late for some other reason. Sometimes stress or other conditions besides pregnancy can delay a woman's menstrual cycle.Go to the doctor and hopefully every thing's okay.

Get to the doctor as soon as possible. You could have an ectopic pregnancy which is very dangerous

You could have been....either way, it would be impossible to detect now since if you were, you miscarried and the HCG level quickly returns to normal.
