It can always be bad. You don't say enough about this lump for me to tell you anything specific, so all I can tell you is that you better pay attention to it and ask a doctor if it looks worrisome. It is possible to have cancer on the penis, but that is rare and usually happens to very old men. Don't worry, but pay attention to this because there's no telling what it is. Drag him to the doctor if you have to. Good luck!

It can be bad but not necessarily. It could be nothing like an ingrown hair or it could be HPV (genital warts) or herpes. Look online at pics of those illnesses and see if it is similar to any and ask if it's sensitive or painful. And then as soon as possible, see a doc and have it checked out. Till you know, best not to make contact with it. Better safe than sorry. He'll understand (or at least he should.)

Could be an ingrown hair, could be genital herpes or warts. Definately don't make contact with it...not even with a condom on until he goes to the health department. Genital herpes is the gift you get for a lifetime. Just say NO!!!

It could be anything from a tumor to a cyst. Please get him to go to MD ASAP. Try to think positive and not get upset until you find out what it is. Most important thing is to get it checked out soon. Good Luck
