Hey!! i found out about 24 hours ago and i haven't slept since, i have been on here trying to tell peope that are talking **** about him that he really was a genuine guy, as an australian i am pretty offended at some of the accusations being thrown around, that he was a baby killer and what not, It has affected me deeply, some close friends work at that zoo, and they are all in deep shock and grief, its really devestating, What has shocked me most is the ongoing bad mouthing of him.. I think these people should be DEEPLY ASHAMED of themseleves..
God be with you!xx
God bless and keep you safe Bindi Bob and Terri,
God Rest your sould Stevexx

Yes. One of my 6 year daughters idolised Steve Irwin. His passion for wildlife and conservation somehow rubbed off on her and has instilled a deep love for ALL life. We were arranging a trip to Australia Zoo next year to try and see him 'in the flesh' as it were. We broke the news to her thisafternoon and and she cried for a while, not as much for his death as it was as he lived 'on the edge' but more for his wife and children. She wants to know now, who will help the crocs with their champion out of the picture. A great loss for the world i think, not just Australia. He will be sadly missed.
CROCS RULE!!

Yes, I did not know the man but feel like i have lost a friend. I think when people are on TV in your home you feel you know them. I to have thought of him all day and have been watching old programmes of his. He was a remarkable person, so gifted and unique. He had a passion for his work and got across to men, women and children what wildlife were all about. Goodbye Steve, we will miss you xx

I felt that way when John Ritter died. Growing up watching him on Three's Company and then on 8 Simple Rules... It was like losing a member of the family. It really affected me to know that the man behind the humor was gone.

Sometimes i see news about people dying, and i feel sad, but this is just terrible. Here is a man that has always been very inocent in the pulic eye. I just feel like this is a real loss to the world, and am very impressed and proud that his death is international news.

I just can't stop crying. I don't really know what to say. He inspired me in ways that I can't describe in words. He gave me hope in a childhood that was often full of darkness. I've seen every croc hunter episode, every documentary. He was an amazing man, and I'll never forget him.......My Hero Steve Irwin....CROCS RULE!!!!!!

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

A really devoted man who took too many chances to entertain people, had very little fear, and almost no good sense when it came to dangerous animals. This is so weird that a passive sea animal would be his demise, after all the very dangerous things he has done. It was his time. It makes you realize how quickly you can be taken, and we just don't control our destiny. This should not have happened.
