Well...Prometheus stole fire from the Gods..in other words he gained power over something that was formerly controlled by the Gods and brought the wrath of the Gods down on humanity.
Frankenstein attempted to gain power over life and death...which is also something that is controlled by God. The question then could be, were the results of Frankenstein's meddling considered to be the wrath of God for Frankenstein overstepping his bounds.

Frankenstein (the doctor) created his monster.......Prometheus created man. Read the story at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus). Look under MYTH. As you read the story, look for similarities and differences between the story of Frankenstein and the story of Prometheus.
I'm an English professor at a small college. For an essay, I would be most interested in a student's thoughts and insights rather than a laundry list of quoted material. Good luck!

Prometheus was from Greek mythology, and was a creation story of how a man came to be from the power of the Gods and fire. Connect that with the book and good luck.
