Could be you are coming up to a Full Moon and you notice it more cos it is brighter. Also if you live in the Northern hemisphere the nights after June 21st will start to draw in and get darker earlier as the Sun moves south

yep it is because it is almost winter and we dont get as much sunlight.right now it is 8:30 and the moon has been out for about two hours.(and its pitch dark outside)
