Yes. My prayers go out to his wife Terri, their children Bindi Su and Bob and everyone at Irwin's own preserve Australia Zoo. America gives you a big hug and a resounding Crikey!

I found out last night and I was surprised...but at the same time, I wasn't. The man did some crazy things in his life and I always kind of knew he'd die doing something like that. But I think it's so sad and unfortunate. I feel sorry for him and his loved ones.

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

Ironic that he was killed by a sting ray after so many close calls with the Crocodiles. Sting ray deaths are kind of rare. I run into them all the time free diving and as long as you don't bother them they don't bother you. Knowing Steve he was probably clowning with one like he did the Croc's. It just must have been his time. He messed with the Wrong Sting Ray. :-( Jimbo

I know i found out from the Washington Post. So sad how he was recording one of his newest episodes called "Most Deadliest." Freak accident that the stingrays tale went right into his heart. Blessings to the family.
