I think it's because they like to see some muscle there. Guys' butts are made of muscle, unless they're particularly fat. Bigger butts and thighs = more muscle. What good would it be if you had strong arms and scrawny legs and buttocks?
With men, I think we like women somewhat bigger butts because they're softer. But I don't particularly care for huge butts.

Don't know about them...but why do I like guys with nice butts? It all depends on how you define a nice butt? So, in the eye of the beholder, what makes a nice butt so attractive...maybe its firmness in a pair of jeans, slacks, underwear, swimwear? What about nude shots or partial-nude shots? Oui...why do girls like guys with nice butts?...because they do!
