Intel Pentium 4 531 Prescott 3.0GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80547PG3000EK - Retail is about $ 30.00 more than the Celeron and has an 800 MHz bus. Memory would be faster than a 533 MHz bus.

If you're on a low budget, you could think about buying the parts and building your own computer. Here in the UK, it works out much cheaper and isn't nearly as hard as people think. I built mine for around £700. The pre-build equivilant would have cost £1500-£2000+.

Hmmm... it kindof depends on what you want to use it for. If you are looking for a computer to type on, then this computer will do that plus more. My one concern with this computer is that its RAM is a little low, especially considering the coming switch to Windows Vista. Then again, those are easily upgradable. Other than that, it looks like a great computer. I hope that helps

No, it's very slow, and is worth roughly half of what they're asking for it. Besides, their are MANY better cheap brands than e-Machines. Go here, and look at the Acer brand: http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=10 They're very, very good, for their prices.

It is a cheap system and will be slow but if you are on a fixed budget and not gaming it will work fine.
