Check out a yard sale and spend about $10-20. Check out walmart and spend about $100-200. Check out a local bike shop and you can go from $300-3000. Have fun.

Try a bicycle store. A decent mid-range mountain bike will run you around $500 - $600, and you can get better deals near the end of the year as the dealers try to move out their old stock.

I am sure you could find one that somebody would give you. Cycling is very popular, I like riding. Where to buy, I would look in classifieds, pennysaver, garage sales, to save money. New places all over, stick with a bike shop. Good luck I have 5.

Sears or WalMart has good bicycles at good prices. Priced from 80.00 to around 250.00.
