U didnt specify about your computer, but with my laptop, all that you have to do is plug in another monitor to it, and press the change the display type. With most newer Dell Laptops its the Fn key + F8.

Chances are this did nothing for you because most computers at this point are still desktops, but Laptops are catching up!!

I use NetMeeting to do this with another person on the same server. NetMeeting is built in to your windows software.

you can use remote desktop...
or you can have splitter...
