For those who don't live in TX, California, N.M., Arizona, etc. really can't understand--but trust me, you will one day. At my job, at school, at the grocery store (especially the grocery store)--I'm literally one of the few white people. Now, I am not saying that Mexicans are "bad" per se, but sometimes I do feel a bit like a fish out of water--and I just can't comprehend how I am not considered a minority?! I'm not the biggest fan of labels or anything, but, if we are going to label, perhaps it should be regional? What do you think?

you probably are a minority. but being white you are not recognised probably because you dont cry about it or absoloutly have to have attention.you also dont drain federal and state resources.i'm not sure but i'll bet we dont have an organisation that always steps in and defends us because were so weak.

i have a son. i told him the facts of life .then i told him how to take over a country."with a dick"

who would have ever thought that a great technologicaly advanced country;taken conquered, defended, taking care of the entire world. would be taken over with a dick. a little dick.

I lived in Arizona and went to a school where it had i think a total of 15 white kids (i was one) out of 150 students. I know how you feel. Sadly they looks at statistics as a whole which includes the other states as well. Wait, if you ever need some help don't count on the government to give you any cause you are white.

I'm black and I've lived in California all my life. As someone who really could care less what color someone is, I don't understand why you're so worried about the fact that, as you see it, you're a minority. Why don't you just try treating people as people first? As soon as we say, "...this person is white, so I'll act this way." "...this person is black, so I'll act THAT way..." we put people in a box and slap labels on them before we have any understanding whatsoever as to who they really are.

The fact that you say Mexicans aren't "bad" PER SE says to me that you've already grouped all Mexicans together and tied your little stereotyped string around them. That's just not fair, not just to the Mexican race, but to ANY race!

You need to open your mind and start seeing people as individuals - not just as a race standing there. We are all unique. Whatever race we all happen to be is just another part of our uniqueness. Who we really are on the inside is what is really important.

Regional labeling? I have to give it to you, you certainly are original. I have a suggestion though, how about no labeling of any kind?

the 2006 population of texas is projected as;

white black hisspainish all other

11,453,457 2,703,511 8,807,827 971,432

texas is also projected to become the 4th state with a non-anglo population by 2006.
Texas is such a large state(laerge than many countries) that yo tend to over look the small communmities, and think in terms of the large cities where minority populations are gethered.
It's the same here. you go into moultrie georgia and you would think it's all mexican, but the county is still a large whit epopulation /than black/ than mexican/
are we mad about this . hell yes. It's draining our tax system.
for every dollare a mexican ears he get 4 free of charge in free medical, dential, drugs, rent subsidisity, and a food card of of more money than the average person un that area would earn in a week. we are badly in need of removing them and fast.

Don't apologize. I'm sick of the white race feeling the need to whimper just becuase they're white. Yes, you are a minority; the most discriminated against, oppressed minority in America. "Shut up and stay in your place, Cracker" seems to be the mindset. When will civil rights for caucasians ever come about? I live in a city 53% black but yet, they're a "minority".. Figure that one out.

It's been predicted that the Latino ethnic community will be the majority population in the entire US by the year 2008...

I wonder if white people then will get the benefits that other ethnic minorities have like government housing and financial assistance, full scholarships to college, priority in job placement and acceptance to school, etc...

You are a minority. The minority is the Majority, and there are (especially in houston) alot of hispanic people. So if there are more hispanic people than white people in the area, then you are the minority.

Haha, I hear ya. I'm white and I live in Southern Cali and I feel like a minority. I don't understand why white people aren't considered a minority in states that border Mexico - because in all reality we are.

Yes and soon this country will be a 3rd world country since all it's citizens will be from 3rd world countries by 2050. It will spread like wildfire all across this nation (actually it already has).

Thanks Bushy!! Read "State of Emergency".

ps - Did u know that illegals who enter our country are automatically entitled to welfare benefits. They are net tax takers (not payers). We (law-abiding citizens) pay for them to live here free of charge-welfare, Medicare, education, prisons, cops, etc. Oh and now they are lobbying for bi-lingual education in America. God help us!
