I have all the Myst series and many of the Adventure Company games. I also like role-playing games.

Yeah, many. I personally prefer strategy to 'kill, kill, kill' anyway.
Three of my favorite games are:
Europa Universalis
Civilization 4
Sim City (with the rush hour expansion pack)
the first two are civilisation builders while the latter one is a city builder.
Truth be told, some people might consider some of those rather out dated.
