Yes, I did see Brokeback Mountain, and liked it very much. It could have been any love story, and the lovers were not fated to be happy together due to their own folly and character flaws. Cinematography was wonderful, and helped me understand the draw that the locale could have made on their emotions, too. If you remember they kept going back to the same places where they found their happiness, and it was not as fulfilling elsewhere.
The social stresses that made their particular situation so hard by the gay aspect were tragic, but I feel that the real tragedy came from their own denial of love where they could find it.

I'm a fan of cowboy movies and I just can't get my head around the idea of gay cowboys! Why couldn't they make a movie about gay hairdressers instead?
People will think I'm homophobic and all that, but really I just want to watch Clint Eastwood style shoot em up stuff.
My other favorite genre is gangster movies. Now I'm afraid they'll come up with a gay version of that too. They'll probably call it 'the Godmudda' or 'Gayfellas'

Yes, I watched it because it was supposed to be "so good" - but I didn't see what was so great about it. It was just a gay love story and I really have no interest in seeing two men carry on a long distance relationship with eachother.

Tragic that Ennis threw away a chance to be truly happy with the person he loved.
Edit: And the cinematography was excellent as well.

Nope... I had a chance to watch it but turned down the offer and watched "the Ranch" instead!!!

I have no idea... because I haven't seen it. But I don't exactly want to, either. Its just, not appealing in any way, shape, or form. Good for them, good for the movie makers, good for gays. Fine. But leave me out of it, thank you.

I saw it, I actually thoght it was kinda boring. But people I know really enjoyed it.
