I just got this in email is it true? COUR D’ALENE, IDAHO (Reuters) - Brit singer Phil Collins’ publicist has confirmed his death, the result of an apparent suicide attempt. News of the suicide marks an end to the performer’s bizarre final years.
Born as a woman, he dropped out of school in 1934 and used money earned from tap dancing outside of drug stores to get a gender change.
The “Sussudio” singer and former Genesis drummer had launched an unsuccessful contact lens line in 2000. The brand, known as Phil Collense, sold only eight pairs despite heavy marketing. “I knew the motto ‘Look just like Phil Collins’ wasn’t a brilliant marketing strategy or anything, but [he] insisted on using it,” said former marketing executive Paula Hill.
Perhaps the most shocking – and embarassing – twist to the story, is the manner in which Collins was found: in the arms of Reginald VelJohnson, who played Carl Winslow on 90's sitcom Family Matters.

No, he isn't dead. Phil Collin's the singer dude for like Tarzan was born in 1951 not 1934 or w/e and he was born a man. SO NO he aint dead. BUt Crocki Hunter died, NOW THAT"S SO SAD =(

Yes, sad though it is, it is true.
What was left out is that immediately before falling into the arms Reginald VelJohnson, Phil was seen in the company of a very grouchy stingray.

I found the story you're referring to.
It starts out " Phil Collins Dead at 94."
This leads me to believe that this is probably a hoax...

I liked some of his earlier work. Did you know he sang a song called "It's No Fun Being an Illegal Alien"? It was a cool song.
