You can download CCleaner, which will make the task easier. CCleaner removes the additional "clutter", including History, Temp Internet Files, etc. and it can remove the additional "extras" left behind after software is uninstalled.
Assuming you have Internet Explorer, you can go into Tools, then Internet Options, then in History, set the number of days to keep the pages in history to zero. (This will clean the history cache, but doesn't clean the web addresses.)

Go to tools, then internet options, and under the general tab is your browsing history. Click the delete button on your browsing history and then go to your settings in the browsing history. You can chose to have your history deleted every day or as often as you'd like. I hope this helps and good luck with everything!!!

In your menu bar near the top of your browser window, go to "Tools", and then either "Options" or "Internet Options". In IE, there are buttons on the first screen to clear the history and also the cookies and other things. In Firefox, you need to go to the tab that says "Privacy", and then the tab that says "History" and from those other tabs you can clear out other things as well.

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you see a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

You can also go to tools>>internet options and delete cookies, temp files, and history.

Simple. Open your browser and click Tools -> Internet Options. You'll see a button called "Clear History". Click that, and you're done.
