i think that the meaning of art is that person's own emotions are placed on something so that another person and see it's feelings and then feel it themselves....i have no idea where i am going with this.....*_*

art cannot be explained entirely with words it is a painting a poem a thought a dance the way u walk even, art is a lifestyle and it is a way of life. art lets u esca[e from the world we know and into another wheater it is from a book or a finger painting. words cannot discribe art that well it just is

Art is a form that we use to communicate our feelings and experiences to other humans.
It is superior to speaking or singing because art (cave paintings, ceramics, ancient jewelry, etc.) is timeless and can last forever. It can "speak" to us thousands of years later, and art is the universal language that does not need an interpretor. (I'm a ceramist, painter, knitter, sketcher, etc. Life would be boring and plain without art.
