i heard that too...i heard dumbledore dies too....gasp**

For now, it is just a rumor that Harry Potter dies in the final book. There has been a lot of speculation about it because J.K. Rowling has said that she doesn't intend to write any further Harry Potter books (beyond the 7 she originally planned). Also, she has said that she could understand why an author would want to kill off their main character --so that others couldn't write books after they die. But, we won't know for certain until book 7 is released.

Since the last book hasn't been written, there is no way to know if harry dies in the final movie, but yes Dumbledore does die in book 6! Harry plans on dropping out of Hogwarts without Dumbledore there, he goes in search of the horcruxes!

The rumor is this both Harry and Voldemort will die because they cannot co exsist. This is supposed to happen in the final book. She made it pretty obvious when they asked her about it. I believe it was Stephen Speilberg who begged JK Rowling not to kill harry off. It was posted on the web a couple of weaks ago. I can't remember what web site though sorry. By the way two characters were rumored to die. I would really hate to see harry die.

are you talking about movie 7 and book 7?
NO ONE but J.K rowling knows. 2 people are supposed to die in the last book. Im hoping its harry( i love harry ) but for reasons I suspect he would need to be whacked. Im thinking that or hermoine or snape but Id love to see that little asswipe draco get it
actually one child does know but she died. A little girl somewhere in england last year was dying and her one wish was to talk to jk rowling. rowling went to her and read the last chapter of book7( cause shes always had the last chapter written)

the movies are behind the books but as of today in the 4th movie and 6th book- Harry is still alive.

J.K. Rowling has mentioned that Harry might die in the last movie, but many people have protested and sent her letters telling her not to kill him off. Its probably 50/50, but Rowling has hinted herself that he might die.
