Of course I didn't know him personally, but hell yes I'll miss him.
And I guarantee, the few judgmental pricks that keep bringing up the baby/croc incident or that claim he "got what he deserved" don't have a fraction of the heart and soul that Steve had and when they kick the proverbial bucket, they will hardly be missed.

Steve died in my backyard...and I just cant believe it. Here in Cairns it is a very, very somber mood. People just cant come to the understanding that he is actually gone. I have known for almost 24 hours now and I just cant believe it. I know I will miss Steve terribly and I just cant imagine how his wife and children are dealing with this.
I urge everyone who will can to make a donation to Steve's animal foundation Wildlife Warriors. Go to the Australia Zoo website...if you can get on, and follow the links. Steve's work will continue and its up to all of to make sure that it does.
The world mourns your Steve...you are one of GODS finest creations...make the LORD be with your wife and children and guide them through this time of their most need....

You knew you would always get a kick out of him and a smile watching him. Even if you didn`t like what he did if you watch for 2 or 3 seconds you would watch more just to see what was going to happen next. He`ll be missed very much. Rest in Peace Steve!!

I sat down and cried. He was such a good man, and he did so much to raise people's awareness of the animal world. He will be missed the world over, and my thoughts and prayers are with Terri, Bendi and the baby. People like Steve Irwin, who give so much of themselves as selflessly as he did, are so very special that even though they are gone, they will live on in our hearts forever.

OMG!!! I waz a HUGH fan of the crocodile hunter!!! when i found out this morning he was gone..i cried!!! i find it sad how it was a sting ray that took his life and not a croc....i think thats how he would have wanted to go. Crikey, we`ll miss you Steve!!!

There are so many Steve Irwin questions on here(like...20 of them)Anyways, I don't personally know him so I won't really miss him but I am still sad for his fans and families loss. I kinda lost respect for him when he dangled his baby by a crocodile.

I will definitely miss him he was a great guy loved all his shows. Feel really bad for his family he will be missed...I am still in shock cannot believe it....
