I remember when Jim Henson, creator of the muppets, died. I was very upset as I had always been a huge fan of the Muppet Show and Sesame Street.

There have been some that really surprised me,, like when the guy who played Lenny on Law and Order died. Or when Princess Di died I was sorta numb,

It really makes me sad that Steve Irwin died,, it's funny but every time I watched him it reminded me of my dad,, who watched him before he died (my dad) and used to just be amazed at the stuff he did,, and would just laugh at the things he did,, it was alot of fun. and now to know that we won't get to see Steve do anything else,, is very sad,, this is the first big star,, that my kids have known, so that makes me sad.

Oh yeah when Ronald Regan died,, it was sad too.

Believe me, until you lose somebody close to you, you have no idea how distant others dying can become. I remember everyone on your list who passed away but there passing could not even begin to compare with all the people next to me that have died in that same time frame. To be honest my day is not effected by such passings. Perhaps it is because I have set up many a funeral myself. Sorry but the answer is no one.

Kurt Cobain, happened on my birthday and I had been writing music reviews about them in my school paper over the years.

Princess Di because I really admired her humanitarian work; I remember watching her fairytale wedding when I was a very little girl, and they were married the same day as my parents.

President Kennedy.
I remember being in (8th grade) math class, when the shop teacher burst in and gave all of us the news. As I got off the school bus, and got into the car, my mom laughed and asked me why I was crying.. so I told her. She didn't believe me.. she hadn't heard anything about it.
Steve Irwin... his death is like losing a family member.

I think that anyone dying a young and or unexpected death is always going to affect me....all of the people that everyone has listed on here are people that died unnecessarily, and it's truly shocking. It's always sad to hear the news when anything that horrible and sudden happens!

Waylon Jennings. My mom is diabetic. I listened to his music and cried all day. What a horrible disease.

Also, when Charles Schultz died less than a week after publishing his last "Peanuts". So sad.

I cried all day when I heard Linda McCartney had died. I felt so bad for her family. They kept her illness close to home, because it came as such a shock that she had died.
