My boyfriend and I have been dating for quite a while, and im starting to think that he is just dating me as an experment. He is white while I am black. I really feel a connection with him. But im also afraid that he will never see me as more than a girlfriend because of my race.

The only way is to talk to him about this frankly and put a time limit by which this casual relationship has to end- either with a ring or a goodbye.
I don't think you're an experiment, you're a means of release.

Has he given you any indication that it's because of your race that he doesn't see it as a long-term relationship...or are there other things? Does he introduce you to friends/family? Because maybe it has nothing to do with your race....maybe you are using that as an excuse? Because obviously he is with you for some reason....if it was an experiment (and why would it be...just because you are a different race????), he could do that in a day =)
