Yes, because Bush sidetracked us into Iraq instead of finishing the fight against al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

The Taliban used to strictly control the amount of heroin produced in that country. Now that leadership is jumbled, the people are growing more poppies than ever, heroin productiion is up 59% over just 1 year ago, and their flooding the world market with heroin.

Just one more reason to thank George.

Dummy, it isn't President Bush growing the opium, it's the Taliban. Clearly you didn't even read the site you referenced, which says:

"The bulk of the opium increase was in lawless Helmand province, where cultivation rose 162 percent and accounted for 42 percent of the Afghan crop. The province has been wracked by the surge in attacks by Taliban-led militants that has produced the worst fighting in five years."

Why he or the troops or whoever don't put a stop to opium production I don't understand.

Gee...I think you are misinformed., or down right ignorant. Currently we are engaged in two conflicts aimed at reducing terrorist threats, and eliminating tyrannies. Where does oil come in? Neither Iraq, nor Afghanistan have significant reserves of oil.
It is my opinion that you are probably a lover of those flea riddled terrorists, and have not the brains of a camel.
