My van is now 5 years old but only have 80,000KM on it. It seems lately to be running more roughly than usual so I had them change the gas and oil filter but I don't know enough about what else I should be asking to change? What else could I change to make it start to run smoother again? I also think I smell oil or something when I turn get out. I am afraid that the mechanics are not listening to my concerns because I am a girl. Any ideas fellas?

I would run a good fuel injector cleaner through it first , If that doesn't work it might be time for a tune up !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it is hard to diagnose a problem without a little bit more info. You want to get down to exactly the sound it makes, when you are doing what. For instance, when I accelerate my engine does this, or when I am idle, it sound like this. The more mileage in your vehicle, the more susceptible to wear and tear. If I were you, I would look online a little more, and arm yourself with knowledge. If you go to mechanic and give them a detailed description, and throw some jargon their way they may take your problem a little more serious.
