I'm an RN who is also a mother. I had periods up until my fourth month of pregnancy and never knew I was pregnant. After that I had occassional spotting. I wouldn't overreact, but I would definitely call your OB/GYN, let them know the amount of bloodflow, etc. It may or may not be normal. Everyone is different. However, signs of miscarriage are bleeding along with cramping pains which are actually labor pains. So be careful, call the doctor, and if you are experiencing heavy blood flow - bypass the doctor and go to the ER. If its worse than a normal period, there may be something wrong.

I would say yes that is it simply b'cus I bleed for at least 5 months with both of my children. However, I would also say go to the doctor b'cus there may be another reason as to why you are bleeding. You can never be too careful concerning this area...take care of yourself and the baby. Go see the doctor, ASAP! You can e-mail me privately @ arjlowery95@yahoo.com and let me know how you are doing. I will keep you in my prayers. If possible, give me your name so that I can call it out when I pray. AL~

Every book and person will tell you its not normal, but it seems to be happening quite a lot. In most cases, its a minor thing ... its mostly caused by the cervix bleeding while changing shape to better accomodate the baby.
But then, you shuould of course see a doctor to confirm cos there are other more serious but limited reasons behind spotting.

Sometimes it depends on what kind of bleeding. If it is brownish-red, very light, and stops within couple hours, it could be implantation bleeding (placenta attaching to uterus), which could be normal. But always let your doctor know about any bleeding occurs because bleeding can also be a sign of miscarriage. Good Luck.

some spotting early on is okay usually, but full out bleeding can be a problem. Go ahead and call your OB's office, or shoot on down to the ER.

Is this when you was supose to get your period? Some pregnant people still have a period when they are pregnant. But to be safe call your docter and talk to him. But if you are in great pain and this is not when you was supose to get your period go to the ER. Miscarrage is high until you reach 20 weeks of your pregnancy.

You definitely need to go to the dr.
you could be having a miscarriage, but Go to a Dr.
Bleeding is not suppose to happen during preg.
though it sometimes does it makes sense to get to the dr. ASAP
