What is the acceptable level of physical closeness and affection that a lady can show a male friend?

I am talking about a non-romantic friendship. It shouldn't imply anything more than love from one human being for another. You could perhaps call this asexual love.

A hug every now and again never hurts, a frienddly touch on thee hand could suffice, propping on his shoulder when u feel bored is ok consoling him when u cry is fine but most of all, u need to know ur limitations cause if during this physical contact u get sexual urges then u should stop but try to keep it as platonic as possible cause once u cross that line, u can never go back.

It is whatever both of you are comfortable with. Some people are physical and need touching just to know someone cares. Others don't want to be touched even by someone close to them. This is something only the two of you and if you have partners can decide. You all have to be comfortable with the level of closeness.
