Why don't more of us use spell check?

I wasn't sure where to place this question, but I really wanted to ask it. As I read through other asker's questions I can barely understand what they are talking about. What is the deal?

Here, I find the the lack of any semblance to proper spelling or grammar in many posts annoying. As another said, a lot of it has to do with sheer laziness and not giving a damn about other people who have to attempt to read their illegible crap.

At work, such behavior is nothing short of appalling and insulting. If anything the poor grammar shows little regard not only to the reader, but to the original author by allowing such shoddy work to be allowed from himself. They disrespect themselves.

Just kidding. I can only speak for myself (one of the worlds worst spellers) and sometimes I forget. When I send a business mail, I have Outlook set to automatically scan for spelling errors.
On here I cant do that so.... Especially when Im answering a question that has me PO'd, I write it and shoot it off. It usually makes me look like an illiterate moron because like I said, Ive never won any spelling contests.

because we use e-slang, and are trying to answer a question, and trying to be first, and thinking, but most importantly, do we need a reason?
