You are trying to live so you can make a difference in people's lives, in people's hearts, and in yourself.
That's why people should strive to be sucessful, and not do drugs or drop out of school. If you commit suicide, then you have disapointed yourself.
Life is about learning from your mistakes and inspiring other people, so when you die, you feel satisfied that you leave...well, a place that you have made a difference in.
sorry, just felt inspirational today.
P.S. Isn't that someone's song?

we know the body dies, but have you got a proof that you are the body?
i hav a proof that you are not the body
you may think: oh well, we know that there is nothing really but atoms, ie, bodies
but what about energy, which scientists say cannot be created or destroyed? -
maybe you are energy, and maybe energy is life, love, fulfillment, happiness, joy, meaning, infinity, creativity, potential, an infinity of things...
maybe you are deceived you are a body so that you can find out different - maybe you are deceived that you are limited in time and space so you can find out different and be relieved, overjoyed
is death possible? - can you become non-existent? - non-existence by definition cannot exist - it means: not existing - nonexistence doesnt exist, cant exist - can noncat be cat? - can nonexistence be existence?
you HAVE a body - if you have a house, you are not a house - if you have a wife, you are not a wife
can the same thing change and totally notchange in the same time period? - no - your body, your personality, your mind changes over time - but you remain you all that time - your body loses a limb - and you do not lose anything, you remain fully you - therefore you and the body are not the same thing
you are some bodiless invisible thing that has a body at the moment
energy is bodiless, invisible - could you be energy?
energy has a nature to make bodies - energy cannot change - so energy will always make bodies - so you will appear again and again in bodies -
possible - it makes sense - it doesnt make nonsense

Yes, we were born and we shall die. However, what you do in between is entirely up to you and the Nobel prize may be one of those oddities.
No, I'm not saying that everyone has the ability or should consider winning it or consider setting up a prize of some sort. But I'm sure we could all find something meaningful to occupy ourselves while we are alive.
Just may be we would find something great lasting longer than our mortality, if that's what you want to do that is.

Sure, w/o purpose and meaning, what's the point?
It is the responsibility for each of us to discover our own interests and abilities, to study and learn and strive to become, and with eyes open, at some point discover our purpose. Until you do that, it's like you're in a car with no driver.
First, you must discover and verify for yourself truth. From this, you can build a foundation from which to make decisions.

We live well so that we may also die well. Dying is important business to us but how we die is even more so. If we measure our earthly live in years, we measure what is possibly to come after death as eternity. When we therefore die we die for life, we never die as death. We live and wait and then when we die we like life to be enhanced even when we are no here, we are somewhere else. Such is our love for life – essential and innate.
To be human is to live like one, and to live is to live forever. I am living to conquer death for a life that does not have an answer to death is a life incomplete; and then a life that is overwhelmed by the fear of death is not worth living. In life there is no concept of terminal death.

Everybody should enjoy the life in its present form, I mean, we don't really know what is going to happen with us or tomorrow or after dying, so our goal should be have a full and good life to be happy now. If you think only in the death you won't have the chance to enjoy a little happiness and that is just sad.
Seiza the moment!

Live ever day like there is no tomorrow. Don't live to die or you'll be living death. Death will come soon enough. Without you living to die. And don't try to live really live, make each day count. I believe there is more to death than just dying. Who knows we may be accountable when we do die, for the life we lived.

Don't think too much, think it laterally. Whatever religion we have, think that we are all from some imaginary planet, there we have an eternal life, no pain, no sick, no fight, no war, everything is perfect. But because life in there is too perfect and too optimist, we have to learn something from "other side of the coin". That's why for some reasons we are sent to Earth to learn to suffer, to cry, to be sad. This is only a process of our live.

Well, that is a very pessimistic position about life. Life is meant for living and enjoying, I don't see how anyone could enjoy life with that view. Death is inevitable, but it is not the focus. It is sad to find people see life in that perspective. God gives purpose in life.
