Hands down USA, not an issue of opinion just a point of fact - someone else already quoted the 26% of the world's energy figure - a doubly alarming figure when you consider the woeful lack of environmentally friendly energy supply sources used and available to US consumers. China will probably be a competitor in years to come, but the vast majority of the country still isn't industrialized.

European nations are somewhat guilty as well, but they use smaller cars, recycle more and use more alternative fuel sources. And they've all signed the Kyoto agreement.

the USA uses by far the most of the planets natural resources, and also produces by far the most pollution of any country on the planet.

China is using lots because it is growing so fast, but it is still not on the scale of the USA's usage.

ignore the user who said "not USA" im guessing that they're probably American.

and a fascinating fact for you:
the USA spends more on arms per year than the next 18 largest spenders COMBINED.
I learned that at a speech from a NATO representitive

China is the worst .They spew out more pollution than any other nation ,because they burn so much coal. Also, they will kill endangered species to sell on the black market,or just to eat,and they torture dogs and cats, skinning them alive to make fur coats, and fur toys.I;m not saying that i hate Chinese people;I just don't agree with a lot of the things they do to animals and the environment.

I probably would say China as it is going through an Industrial Revolution. However the U.S.A is a major culprit.

The US simply in my opinion has the wealth, power, freedom etc etc. to do so much more. Except they don't !!!!!!!
