Why are folks(black people) so focused on having mixed babies, calling the babies cute and pretty haired? I though all babies were beautiful...

Let me say it again: all babies are beautiful but it was a show on television where a dark mother was concerned who her son dated, because she didn't want "black a** children. I don't care what nobody say that is stupid. Dark babies are just as beautiful and its worse it black families. I know for a fact.

I have wanted to ask the same thing. You are so right. I get disgusted in my family looking at how people go nuts over the mixed babies and are like "yea, ok" over the all-black children. What a wash. It's silly. There are unattractive mixed kids. Oh, my, please beleive that. I see them outside playing everyday. Looking like that gremiln thing saying "precious, my precious" on Lord of the Rings.

ok... let me first say that ppl have a right to thier preferences... all babies are a gift, but beauty is only in the eye of the beholder and each person has thier own idea of what beauty is...some ppl feel like black is beautiful and some ppl feel like white is beautiful and some ppl want a hispanis baby.... look at it this way... would you dat a 700 pound man that had two teeth in his mouth and a recieding hair line....ppl have preferences love... don't take it so personal... now i know you hate this harsh answer but that is the reality of it.... you have a right to your preference just like anyone else has a right to thiers.... but maybe you are a little uptight because you think that everyone else should share the same opinion as you.... that is never gonna happen... the truth is not all babies are physically attractive some have birth defects or other things that disfigure them but a baby is a gift even if it is not attractive....alot of ppl including myself have preferences as to what we find beautiful....

i don't think that's true i wouldn't care if my baby came out full blk or part white i'm part irish and west indian and black i don't care if my hair is different than most black people it's just hair i love any baby for what it looks like thier so cute i could eat them all lol i'm just kidding but i don't care if my baby had good hair or not as long as it's healthy so don't assume all blk ppl want that

There are some that have a face only their mother could love. lol but seriously. I think all babies are cute. It's not up to them who their parents are or what nationality they are. If I would have had a choice I'd be born into a rich family with a horse farm. lol

Well I'm moxed black and asian. I came out with all asian hair and black people always comment on my hair. I've only experienced that with black people so I understand what you're saying. Most of them just consider people with "good hair" to be lucky.

Why do you assume it's just black people...obviously for the baby to be mixed a white person had that same feeling. Get real. And all babies are gifts from God, regardless of their heritage and what their hair looks like.

The most beautiful babies I have seen (other than my own of course... none are more beautiful than they!) Are a mix of black and Japanese... I've literally been stopped in my tracks by such beauty. And of course... I tell my husband it is time for another of our own!

Personally, when both my sons were newborns, I thought them to be about as ugly as babies could get...but they changed within a short time and actually resembled humans.
