This is a simple one. To me this means when you help someone either financially or emotionally without wanting anything back in return, your kindness will come back to you three times.

I generally think it means to share what you have in all means with others - not just the Gospel, but food,water,clothing and the like because as someone once noted - a hungry man can't hear the gospel very well when his stomach is growling twice as loud.

Are you talking about tashlikh? If so, this is a symbolic way of casting away the bad deeds and other things we Jews have done over the year.

i think it means to cast your troubles (the bread) upon Jesus (the water).

Isn't it, "cast your BREATH upon the waters"... meaning to breathe life. I think.
