im black and my ex was white. i broke up with him like a week ago because ppl were saying stuff like "y dont u get urself a black boy *****" and in the beginning i thought i could take it, but i cant. its just mean and cruel, and i couldnt take it anymore. Now my ex is mad at me because i broke up with him, he wont even talk to me and listen to what i have to say about this. do u think i did the right thing?

I'm so sorry. You did what you had to do. It'll be very difficult to maintain good contacts with your ex as he's hurting and apparently doesn't agree with your decision.

Consider this a life lesson. Don't let other fools runs your life. Follow your heart, listen to your gut. It will never steer you in the wrong direction. I don't blame your ex for not talking to you. You broke up with him because of the color of his skin. Not the smartest move. You should have gotten rid of your homey's not your man. Next time stand up for what you believe in. Don't let anyone steal your joy.

I dont think you did anythign wrong. People will do what they feel like regardless of how it makes people (you) feel. I don't think love knows age, race, gender, or any of that stuff. If you love someone and they love you I dont thin kthere should be anythign to stop that. But apparantly other people dont agree, and unfortunately you might have to deal with that unless you can surround yourself with peopel who will support you and have your back.

who cares of what people think or say. all that mattered was if you were happy with him. you should decide if you really wanna go back with him and not care of what ppl are tellin you and tell him that you mean it or something so that he'll listen.
